Consumer Reports has rated the FJ Cruiser as the best off road vehicle for the second year in a row. Unlike many (biased?) off road magazines that constantly rate other vehicles better for off road driving, CR uses the exact same test track for each vehicle. Details of the rating are locked behind a membership, but all vehicles rated can be found on the Consumer Reports website. It's also interesting to note that number 2 on the list is the Land Cruiser, and number 3 is the Tacoma TRD. Very cool indeed!

It looks as though the FJ Cruiser will indeed live on, at least in the land down under.

This article states that the FJ was previewed recently at a delear convention, but Toyota has not officially commented on the FJ in Australia. We're certainly excited that our Aussie friends will finally get a proper modern off road capable FJ, and hopefully this means a bright future for our favorite vehicle in North America as well.
